Paper Dolls

As a rule, I do NOT draw people. It takes practice and a degree of skill I don't even really want to develop, because it's hard. Real life is hard. Writing is hard. I want my hobbies to chill me out, you know?

Having said that, these pieces represent the children of a dear friend and document an epic dress-up session, the photos of which still make me grin every single time I see them, and I draw what makes me happy. 

Since then, their family has received a new addition and begun a new journey in a new home. The pieces below were room-warming gifts inspired by each of these little ladies' individual taste and interests and were some of my funnest projects to date!
